The College Academy In partnership with South Bend Community School Corporation
Starting in 7th grade and continuing through 12th grade, The College Academy creates a direct pathway to higher education for South Bend students. Modeled after proven programs like Clemson University's Tiger Alliance and the University of Louisville's Cardinal Rising, our academy provides:
- Middle school (7th–8th grade): College awareness, study skills, and goal-setting workshops
- Early high school (9th–10th grade): Campus tours, academic mentoring, and career exploration
- Upper high school (11th–12th grade): FAFSA assistance, college application support, and scholarship guidance
- College student mentors: Current college students guide academy members through the transition
Program results (benchmarked to Tiger Alliance outcomes):
- 100% high school graduation rate among active participants
- 93% college enrollment or military enlistment
